 I write things.
Whether they are worth reading is up to you.

However, I write because it is the best way for me to express myself. Speaking, not so much. But when I put my thoughts to paper, they are articulated in a way better than I could every say. Plus, my voice sounds weird which taints anything profound I might actually say.

I have written some novels and had some publications in various literary and academic journals. Nothing spectacular but enough to validate my ability in some way. I earned an MA in Creative Writing from CSU-Sacramento which was helpful, but doesn't guarantee anything.

My youth was spent growing up in a rural, depreciated county in Northern California where my hobbies mostly included not reading or writing. I preferred to spend my time playing basketball, watching films or gathering callouses on my hands from drumming incessantly. It wasn't until I met my beautiful wife that she inspired me to read which led to a voracious appetite in reading on a continual basis.

The passion for writing didn't happen until my first daughter was born. Fatherhood opened my perceptions in an amazing way and deepened my level of empathy which I had never truly accessed before. From then, I felt compelled to write and found a drive to experience the world through words and images. I was hooked.

Despite the tightrope of wanting to quit writing and striving for the next great classic, I adore my wife and three girls. They inspire me and make life worth living and fuel my words.

That is all about me I am willing to divulge for now. Feel free to peruse the website and read stuff or leave comments about how I don't know what I'm talking about. Maybe even buy a book, if you are so inclined.

Thanks for stopping by.
